حَدَّثَنَا سُرَيْجٌ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو لَيْلَى قَالَ أَبِي سَمَّاهُ سُرَيْجٌ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ مَيْسَرَةَ الْخُرَاسَانِيَّ عَنْ عَتَّابٍ الْبَكْرِيِّ قَالَ كُنَّا نُجَالِسُ أَبَا سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيَّ بِالْمَدِينَةِ فَسَأَلْتُهُ عَنْ خَاتَمِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الَّذِي كَانَ بَيْنَ كَتِفَيْهِ فَقَالَ بِأُصْبُعِهِ السَّبَّابَةِ هَكَذَا لَحْمٌ نَاشِزٌ بَيْنَ كَتِفَيْهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ.
English Translation
Surayj narrated to us, Abu Layla narrated to us - my father said: Surayj named him Abdullah b. Maysarah al-Khurasani - from Attab al-Bakri, who said: We used to sit with Abu Sa'id al-Khudri in Medina, and I asked him about the seal of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, that was between his shoulders. He gestured with his index finger, saying, "Like this - a raised piece of flesh between his shoulders, peace and blessings be upon him."
