حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَاحِدِ حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِلَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ مِائَةُ رَحْمَةٍ فَقَسَمَ مِنْهَا جُزْءًا وَاحِدًا بَيْنَ الْخَلْقِ فَبِهِ يَتَرَاحَمُ النَّاسُ وَالْوَحْشُ وَالطَّيْرُ.
English Translation
Affan told us: Abdul-Wahid told us: al-A'mash told us, from Abu Salih, from Abu Sa'id, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, "Allah, Mighty and Majestic, has one hundred [portions of] mercy. He divided one portion of it among creation, and by it people, wild animals, and birds show mercy to one another."
