English Translation
'Abd al-Razzaq told us, Ma'mar told us, from al-Zuhri, from 'Ubayd Allah ibn 'Abd Allah, or 'Ata' ibn Yazid - Ma'mar was uncertain - from Abu Sa'id al-Khudri, who said: A man said, "O Messenger of Allah, which people are most excellent?" He said, "A believer who strives with his life and his wealth in the path of Allah." He said, "Then who?" He said, "Then a man who withdraws into one of the mountain passes, worshipping his Lord, Mighty and Sublime, and sparing people his harm."
