English Translation
'Abd al-Razzaq told us, Ma'mar informed us, from Yahya ibn Abi Kathir, who said: Hilal ibn 'Iyad informed me that he heard Abu Sa'id al-Khudri say: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "When Satan confuses one of you during his prayer and says, 'You have broken your ablution,' let him say to himself, 'You lie,' until he hears a sound with his ears or smells an odor with his nose. And if one of you prays and does not know whether he added or omitted something, let him prostrate two prostrations while sitting." Yahya ibn Sa'id told us, from Hisham, from Yahya ibn Abi Kathir, from 'Iyad, that he asked Abu Sa'id and mentioned it.
