حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحِيمِ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ النَّخَعِيِّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْجَبَّارِ بْنِ وَائِلٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، أَنَّهُ أَبْصَرَ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم حِينَ قَامَ إِلَى الصَّلاَةِ رَفَعَ يَدَيْهِ حَتَّى كَانَتَا بِحِيَالِ مَنْكِبَيْهِ وَحَاذَى بِإِبْهَامَيْهِ أُذُنَيْهِ ثُمَّ كَبَّرَ .
English Translation
Hadrat Wa'il ibn Hujr (may Allah be well pleased with him) narrates that he saw the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) — when he (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stood for prayer, he raised his blessed hands until they were level with his blessed shoulders and his thumbs were level with his blessed ears, then he said the takbir.
Urdu Translation
حضرت وائل بن حُجر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ انہوں نے نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کو دیکھا کہ جب آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نماز کے لیے کھڑے ہوئے تو اپنے ہاتھ مبارک بلند فرمائے یہاں تک کہ وہ کندھوں کے مقابل ہوئے اور انگوٹھوں کو کانوں کے برابر کیا، پھر تکبیر فرمائی۔
