حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ حَنْبَلٍ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ أَبِي سَهْلٍ، - يَعْنِي عُثْمَانَ بْنَ حَكِيمٍ - حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ أَبِي عَمْرَةَ، عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ عَفَّانَ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " مَنْ صَلَّى الْعِشَاءَ فِي جَمَاعَةٍ كَانَ كَقِيَامِ نِصْفِ لَيْلَةٍ وَمَنْ صَلَّى الْعِشَاءَ وَالْفَجْرَ فِي جَمَاعَةٍ كَانَ كَقِيَامِ لَيْلَةٍ " .
English Translation
Hadrat Uthman ibn Affan (may Allah be well pleased with him) narrates that the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated: 'Whoever prays the Isha prayer in congregation, it is as if he has stood (in prayer) for half the night. And whoever prays both Isha and Fajr in congregation, it is as if he has stood (in prayer) for the entire night.'
Urdu Translation
حضرت عثمان بن عفان رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ فرماتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: جس نے عشاء کی نماز جماعت سے پڑھی گویا اس نے آدھی رات قیام کیا۔ اور جس نے عشاء اور فجر دونوں جماعت سے پڑھیں گویا اس نے پوری رات قیام کیا۔
