Arabic (Original)
حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ حَكِيمِ بْنِ الدَّيْلَمِ، عَنْ أَبِي بُرْدَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ كَانَتِ الْيَهُودُ تَعَاطَسُ عِنْدَ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم رَجَاءَ أَنْ يَقُولَ لَهَا يَرْحَمُكُمُ اللَّهُ فَكَانَ يَقُولُ " يَهْدِيكُمُ اللَّهُ وَيُصْلِحُ بَالَكُمْ " .
English Translation
It is narrated by Hadrat Abu Burdah (may Allah be well pleased with him), from his father, that the Jews used to sneeze deliberately in the presence of the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) hoping that he would say to them 'Yarhamukum Allah (May Allah have mercy upon you),' but he (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) would say: 'Yahdikum Allah wa yuslih balakum (May Allah guide you and set your affairs right).'
Urdu Translation
حضرت ابوموسیٰ اشعری رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ اپنے والد سے روایت کرتے ہیں کہ یہود نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کے پاس (جان بوجھ کر) چھینکا کرتے تھے اس امید میں کہ آپ ان سے یَرْحَمُکُمُ اللّٰہُ فرمائیں گے، لیکن آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم فرماتے: یَہْدِیکُمُ اللّٰہُ وَیُصْلِحُ بَالَکُمْ (اللہ تمہیں ہدایت دے اور تمہارا حال درست فرمائے)۔
