Arabic (Original)
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ كَثِيرٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا هَمَّامٌ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ مُطَرِّفٍ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، - رضى الله عنها - قَالَتْ صَنَعْتُ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم بُرْدَةً سَوْدَاءَ فَلَبِسَهَا فَلَمَّا عَرَقَ فِيهَا وَجَدَ رِيحَ الصُّوفِ فَقَذَفَهَا . قَالَ وَأَحْسِبُهُ قَالَ وَكَانَ تُعْجِبُهُ الرِّيحُ الطَّيِّبَةُ .
English Translation
Umm al-Mu'minin Hadrat Aishah Siddiqah (may Allah be well pleased with her) narrates: I made a black cloak for the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) and he wore it. But when he perspired in it and noticed the odour of the wool, he removed it. The narrator said: I think he also said that he (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) loved pleasant fragrances.
Urdu Translation
حضرت اُمّ المؤمنین عائشہ صدیقہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہا فرماتی ہیں کہ میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کے لیے ایک سیاہ چادر بنائی تو آپ نے اسے زیبِ تن فرمایا، پھر جب اس میں پسینہ آیا اور آپ نے اون کی بو محسوس کی تو اسے اتار دیا۔ راوی فرماتے ہیں: میرا خیال ہے کہ انہوں نے یہ بھی فرمایا کہ آپ کو خوشبو پسند تھی۔
