حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، عَنْ أَبِي قِلاَبَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي الْمُهَلَّبِ، عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ، أَنَّ رَجُلاً، أَعْتَقَ سِتَّةَ أَعْبُدٍ عِنْدَ مَوْتِهِ وَلَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ مَالٌ غَيْرُهُمْ فَبَلَغَ ذَلِكَ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَقَالَ لَهُ قَوْلاً شَدِيدًا ثُمَّ دَعَاهُمْ فَجَزَّأَهُمْ ثَلاَثَةَ أَجْزَاءٍ فَأَقْرَعَ بَيْنَهُمْ فَأَعْتَقَ اثْنَيْنِ وَأَرَقَّ أَرْبَعَةً .
English Translation
Hadrat Imran ibn Husayn (may Allah be well pleased with them both) states that a man emancipated his six slaves at the time of his death, and he had no other property besides them. When the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) was informed of this, he spoke to him in severe terms. Then he summoned the slaves, divided them into three groups, and cast lots among them. He emancipated two (whose names were drawn) and kept the remaining four in slavery.
Urdu Translation
حضرت عمران بن حصین رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہما فرماتے ہیں کہ ایک شخص نے اپنی موت کے وقت اپنے چھ غلاموں کو آزاد کر دیا حالانکہ ان کے سوا اس کے پاس کوئی اور مال نہ تھا۔ یہ خبر نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کو پہنچی تو آپ نے اسے سخت الفاظ میں ملامت فرمائی، پھر ان غلاموں کو بلایا اور انہیں تین حصوں میں تقسیم کیا، پھر ان میں قرعہ اندازی کی۔ (جن دو کے نام نکلے) ان دو کو آزاد فرمایا اور باقی چار کو غلام رہنے دیا۔
