حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم بِهَذَا الْحَدِيثِ قَالَ أَيُّوبُ فَلاَ أَدْرِي هُوَ فِي الْحَدِيثِ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم أَوْ شَىْءٌ قَالَهُ نَافِعٌ وَإِلاَّ عَتَقَ مِنْهُ مَا عَتَقَ .
English Translation
The same tradition has also been narrated through a different chain from Hadrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be well pleased with them both) from the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him). The narrator Ayyub (upon him be mercy) said: I do not know whether the words 'otherwise he is emancipated to the extent already freed' are part of the hadith of the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) or are Nafi's own statement.
Urdu Translation
اس سند سے بھی حضرت ابن عمر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہما سے نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم سے یہی حدیث مروی ہے۔ ایوب رحمۃ اللہ علیہ کہتے ہیں: مجھے معلوم نہیں کہ «وإلا عتق منه ما عتق» (ورنہ اتنا آزاد ہوا جتنا آزاد ہوا) کے الفاظ نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کی حدیث کا حصہ ہیں یا نافع رحمۃ اللہ علیہ کا اپنا قول ہے۔
