اللَٰهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِي وَارْحَمْنِي وَأَلْحِقْنِي بِالرَّفِيقِ الأَعْلَى

O Allah, forgive me, have mercy upon me, and join me with the Highest Companion (in Paradise). (said by the Prophet, peace be upon him, at the time of death)

لاَ إِلٰهَ إِلَّا اللَٰهُ، إِنَّ لِلْمَوْتِ سَكَرَاتٍ

Whoever's last words are 'There is no deity worthy of worship except Allah' (La ilaha illallah) shall enter Paradise.

​ «إِنَّا لِلَٰهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ، اللّٰهُمَّ أْجُرْنِي فِي مُصِيبَتِي، وَأَخْلِفْ لِي خَيْرًا مِنْهَا

Indeed, to Allah we belong and to Him we shall return. O Allah, reward me in my affliction and replace it for me with something better.

اللّٰهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِفُلَانٍ وَارْفَعْ دَرَجَتَهُ فِي الْمَهْدِيِّينَ، وَاخْلُفْهُ فِي عَقِبِهِ فِي الْغَابِرِينَ، وَاغْفِرْ لَنَا وَلَهُ يَ...

اللّٰهُمَّ، اغْفِرْ لَهُ وَارْحَمْهُ وَعَافِهِ وَاعْفُ عَنْهُ، وَأَكْرِمْ نُزُلَهُ، وَوَسِّعْ مُدْخَلَهُ، وَاغْسِلْهُ بِالْمَاءِ وَالثَّلْجِ...

O Allah, forgive our living and our dead, those present among us and those absent, our young and our old, our males and our females. O Allah, whomever among us ...

اللَٰهُمَّ إِنَّ فُلَانَ بْنَ فُلَانٍ فِي ذِمَّتِكَ، وَحَبْلِ جِوَارِكَ، فَقِهِ مِنْ فِتْنَةِ الْقَبْرِ وَعَذَابِ النَّارِ، وَأَنْتَ أَهْلُ ...

O Allah, indeed so-and-so, son of so-and-so (name of the deceased), is under Your protection and within Your care. Protect him from the trial of the grave and t...

اللَٰهُمَّ عَبْدُكَ، وَابْنُ أَمَتِكَ احْتَاجَ إِلَى رَحْمَتِكَ، وَأَنْتَ غَنِيٌّ عَنْ عَذَابِهِ إِنْ كَانَ مُحْسِنًا فَزِدْ فِي إِحْسَانِهِ...

O Allah, Your servant and the son of Your female servant is in need of Your mercy, and You have no need to punish him. If he was righteous, then increase his go...

اللَٰهُمَّ أَعِذْهُ مِنْ عَذَابِ الْقَبْرِ«اللَٰهُمَّ اجْعَلْهُ فَرَطًا وَذُخْرًا لِوَالِدَيْهِ وَشَفِيْعًا مُجَاباً، اللَٰهُمَّ ثَقِّلْ بِه...

O Allah, protect him from the punishment of the grave. O Allah, make him a predecessor and a treasure for his parents, and an intercessor whose intercession is ...

اللَٰهُمَّ اجْعَلْهُ لَنَا فَرَطًا، وَسَلَفًا، وَأَجْرًا

O Allah, make him a predecessor, a forerunner, and a reward for us.

اِنَّ لِلَٰهِ مَا أَخَذَ وَلَهُ مَا أَعْطَى، وَكُلُّ شَيْءٍ عِنْدَهُ بِأَجَلٍ مُسَمًّى، فَلْتَصْبِرْ وَلْتَحْتَسِبْ

To Allah belongs what He has taken, and to Him belongs what He has given, and everything with Him has an appointed term. So be patient and seek reward. (One may...

بِسْمِ اللَٰهِ وَعَلَى سُنَّةِ رَسُولِ اللَٰهِ صَلَّى الله عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ

In the Name of Allah, and upon the Sunnah (way) of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him). (said when placing the deceased in the grave)

اَللّٰهُمَّ اغْفِرْلَهُ اَللّٰهُمَّ ثَبِّتْهُ

O Allah, forgive him. O Allah, make him firm. (After burial, the Prophet, peace be upon him, would stand at the grave and say: Seek forgiveness for your brother...
