Ḥadīth | Ṭabarānī (الطبراني) tabarani:10136 حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَرُوبَةَ الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْحَرَّانِيُّ وَأَبُو عَقِيلٍ أَنَسُ بْنُ سَلْمٍ الْخَوْلَانِيُّ قَالَا ثنا أَبُو الْمُعَافَى مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ وَهْبِ بْنِ أَبِي كَرِي��َةَ الْحَرَّانِيُّ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الرَّحِيمِ عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَبِي أُنَيْسَةَ عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ أَبِي الضُّحَى عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ قَالَ كُنْتُ مُسْتَتِرًا بِحِجَابِ الْكَعْبَةِ وَفِي الْمَسْجِدِ رَجُلٌ مِنْ ثَقِيفٍ وَخَتَنَاهُ قُرَشِيَّانِ فَقَالَ تَرَوْنَ اللهَ يَسْمَعُ دَنْدَنَتَنَا؟ فَقَالَ أَحَدُهُمَا أَنْ يَسْمَعَ إِذَا رَفَعْنَا فَقَالَ الْآخَرُ إِنْ كَانَ يَسْمَعُ إِذَا رَفَعْنَا لَيَسْمَعَنَّ إِذَا خَفَضْنَا قَالَ ابْنُ مَسْعُودٍ فَأَتَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَأَخْبَرْتُهُ بِقَوْلِهِمْ فَأَنْزَلَ اللهُ ﷻ {وَمَا كُنْتُمْ تَسْتَتِرُونَ أَنْ يَشْهَدَ عَلَيْكُمْ سَمْعُكُمْ وَلَا أَبْصَارُكُمْ وَلَا جُلُودُكُمْ} إِلَى آخِرِ الْآيَةِ وَخَالَفَهُمُ الْمَسْعُودِيُّ
الترجمة الإنجليزية
'Abdullah said: I was concealed behind the curtain of the Ka'bah while in the mosque was a man from Thaqif and his two sons-in-law who were from Quraysh. He said: "Do you think Allah hears our murmuring?" One of them said: "He hears when we raise our voices." The other said: "If He hears when we raise them, He certainly hears when we lower them." Ibn Mas'ud said: So I came to the Prophet (peace be upon him) and informed him of what they said, and Allah Most High revealed: "And you did not conceal yourselves lest your hearing, your sight, or your skins testify against you..." (41:22) — to the end of the verse.
