Ḥadīth | Ṭabarānī (الطبراني) tabarani:7983 حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو يَزِيدَ الْقَرَاطِيسِيُّ ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ يَزِيدَ ثنا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عَمْرٍو عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَبِي أُنَيْسَةَ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مُرَّةَ عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ أَبِي الْجَعْدِ عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ الْبَاهِلِيِّ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «إِذَا مَضْمَضَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَاهُ حُطَّ مَا أَصَابَ بِفِيهِ وَإِذَا غَسَلَ وَجْهَهُ حُطَّ مَا أَصَابَ وَجْهُهُ وَإِذَا غَسَلَ يَدَيْهِ حُطَّ مَا أَصَابَ بِيَدِهِ وَإِذَا غَسَلَ رِجْلَيْهِ حُطَّ مَا أَصَابَ بِرِجْلَيْهِ» فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ عِنْدَ ذَلِكَ انْظُرْ مَا تُحَدِّثُ يَا أَبَا أُمَامَةَ صَحِبْنَا رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فَمَا سَمِعْنَاهُ يَقُولُ مَا تَقُولُ فَقَالَ أَبُو أُمَامَةَ «لَوْ لَمْ أَسْمَعْهُ إِلَّا مَرَّةً أَوْ مَرَّتَيْنِ لَمْ أُحَدِّثْ بِهِ»
الترجمة الإنجليزية
The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "When one of you rinses his mouth, the sins committed by his mouth are removed. When he washes his face, the sins committed by his face are removed. When he washes his hands, the sins committed by his hands are removed. When he washes his feet, the sins committed by his feet are removed." A man said at that: "Look at what you are narrating, O Abu Umamah! We accompanied the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) and we did not hear him say what you say." Abu Umamah said: "Had I not heard it except once or twice, I would not have narrated it."
