Ḥadīth | Ṭabarānī (الطبراني) tabarani:563 حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الدَّبَرِيُّ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّزَّاقِ عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ وَيَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ بَيْنَمَا أُسَيْدُ بْنُ حُضَيْرٍ ؓ يُصَلِّي بِاللَّيْلِ قَالَ إِذْ غَشِيَتْنِي مِثْلُ السَّحَابَةِ فِيهَا مِثْلُ الْمَصَابِيحِ وَالْمَرْأَةُ نَائِمَةٌ إِلَى جَنْبِي وَهِي حَامِلٌ وَالْفَرَسُ مَرْبُوطٌ فِي الدَّارِ فَخَشِيتُ أَنْ يَنْفِرَ الْفَرَسُ فَتَفْزَعَ الْمَرْأَةُ فَتُلْقِيَ وَلَدَهَا فَانْصَرَفْتُ مِنْ صَلَاتِي فَذَكَرْتُ ذَلِكَ لِلنَّبِيِّ ﷺ حِينَ أَصْبَحْتُ فَقَالَ «اقْرَأْهُ يَا أُسَيْدُ فَإِنَّ ذَلِكَ مَلَكٌ اسْتَمَعَ الْقُرْآنَ»
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Usayd ibn Hudayr narrated: While he was praying at night, he said: "A covering like a cloud descended upon me, with something like lanterns in it. My wife was sleeping beside me and she was pregnant, and the horse was tied in the house. I feared the horse would bolt and frighten my wife, causing her to miscarry. So I stopped my prayer." When he told the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him), he said: "That was the Sakina (tranquility/angels) that came to listen to the Quran. If you had continued, the people would have seen it in the morning; it would not have been hidden from them."
