Ḥadīth | Ṭabarānī (الطبراني) tabarani:12469 حَدَّثَنَا فُضَيْلُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْمَلْطِيُّ ثنا مُوسَى بْنُ دَاوُدَ الضَّبِّيُّ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ التُّسْتَرِيُّ وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ قَالَا ثنا يَحْيَى الْحِمَّانِيُّ قَالَ ثنا قَيْسُ بْنُ الرَّبِيعِ عَنْ أَبِي هَاشِمٍ الرُّمَّانِيِّ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ قَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ إِنَّ لِلْمَوْتِ فَزَعًا فَإِذَا أَتَى أَحَدُكُمْ وَفَاةَ أَخِيهِ فَلْيَقُلْ إِنَّا لِلَّهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ وَإِنَّا إِلَى رَبِّنَا لَمُنْقَلِبُونَ اللهُمَّ اكْتُبْهُ فِي الْمُحْسِنِينَ وَاجْعَلْ كِتَابَهُ فِي عِلِّيِّينَ وَاخْلُفْ عَقِبَهُ فِي الْآخِرِينَ اللهُمَّ لَا تَحْرِمْنَا أَجْرَهُ وَلَا تَفْتِنَّا بَعْدَهُ
الترجمة الإنجليزية
The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: 'Indeed, death has its terror. So when any of you receives news of his brother's death, let him say: Indeed, we belong to Allah and to Him we shall return, and indeed to our Lord is the ultimate return. O Allah, record him among the doers of good, and make his record in Illiyyin (the highest ranks), and be a successor to those he left behind. O Allah, do not deprive us of his reward, and do not put us to trial after him.'
