Ḥadīth | Ṭabarānī (الطبراني) tabarani:12384 حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مَرْزُوقٍ ثنا حُسَيْنٌ الْأَشْقَرُ ثنا نُصَيْرُ بْنُ زِيَادٍ عَنْ عُثْمَانَ أَبِي الْيَقْظَانِ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ قَالَتِ الْأَنْصَارُ فِيمَا بَيْنَهُمْ لَوْ جَمَعْنَا لِرَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ مَالًا فَبَسَطَ يَدَهُ لَا يَحُولُ بَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَهُ أَحَدٌ فَأَتَوْا رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنَّا أَرَدْنَا أَنْ نَجْمَعَ لَكَ مِنْ أَمْوَالِنَا فَأَنْزَلَ اللهُ ﷻ {قُلْ لَا أَسْأَلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ أَجْرًا إِلَّا الْمَوَدَّةَ فِي الْقُرْبَى} فَخَرَجُوا مُخْتَلِفِينَ فَقَالَ بَعْضُهُمْ أَلَمْ تَرَوْا إلى مَا قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ؟ وَقَالَ بَعْضُهُمْ إِنَّمَا قَالَ هَذَا لِنُقَاتِلَ عَنْ أَهْلِ بَيْتِهِ وَنَنْصُرَهُمْ فَأَنْزَلَ اللهُ ﷻ {أَمْ يَقُولُونَ افْتَرَى عَلَى اللهِ كَذِبًا} إِلَى قَوْلِهِ {وَهُوَ الَّذِي يَقْبَلُ التَّوْبَةَ عَنْ عِبَادِهِ} فَعَرَضَ لَهُمْ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ بِالتَّوْبَةِ إِلَى قَوْلِهِ {وَيَسْتَجِيبُ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ وَيَزِيدُهُمْ مِنْ فَضْلِهِ} هُمُ الَّذِينَ قَالُوا هَذَا أَنْ تَتُوبُوا إِلَى اللهِ وَتَسْتَغْفِرُوهُ
الترجمة الإنجليزية
The Ansar said among themselves: 'Let us collect wealth for the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) so that he may spend freely without anyone preventing him.' So they came to the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) and said: 'O Messenger of Allah, we wanted to collect from our wealth for you.' Then Allah, the Exalted, revealed: {Say: I do not ask you for any reward for it except love for my close relatives.} They left disagreeing. Some of them said: 'Did you not see what the Messenger of Allah said?' Others said: 'He only said this so that we would fight for his family and support them.' Then Allah revealed: {Or do they say: He has fabricated a lie against Allah?} until His saying: {And He is the One who accepts repentance from His servants.} The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) offered them the chance to repent, until His saying: {And He responds to those who believe and do righteous deeds and increases them from His bounty} — they are the ones who said this, meaning: repent to Allah and seek His forgiveness.
