Ḥadīth | Ṭabarānī (الطبراني) tabarani:12322 حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ التُّسْتَرِيُّ ثنا يَحْيَى الْحِمَّانِيُّ ثنا يَعْقُوبُ الْقُمِّيُّ عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ أَبِي الْمُغِيرَةِ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ أَتَتْ قُرَيْشٌ الْيَهُودَ فَقَالُوا بِمَ جَاءَكُمْ مُوسَى؟ قَالُوا عَصَاهُ وَيَدُهُ بَيْضَاءَ لِلنَّاظِرِينَ وَأَتَوُا النَّصَارَى فَقَالُوا كَيْفَ كَانَ عِيسَى؟ قَالُوا كَانَ يُبْرِئُ الْأَكْمَهَ وَالْأَبْرَصَ وَيُحْيِي الْمَوْتَى فَأَتَوُا النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَقَالُوا ادْعُ لَنَا رَبَّكَ يَجْعَلْ لَنَا الصَّفَا ذَهَبًا فَدَعَا رَبَّهُ فَنَزَلَتْ هَذِهِ الْآيَةُ {إِنَّ فِي خَلْقِ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَاخْتِلَافِ اللَّيْلِ وَالنَّهَارِ لَآيَاتٍ لِأُولِي الْأَلْبَابِ} فَلْيَتَفَكَّرُوا فِيهَا
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Ibn Abbas said: The Quraysh went to the Jews and asked: "What did Musa (Moses) bring you?" They said: "His staff and his white hand visible to the beholders." They went to the Christians and asked: "How was Isa (Jesus)?" They said: "He used to heal the blind and the leper and bring the dead to life." They came to the Prophet ♂ and said: "Ask your Lord to turn Safa into gold for us." He supplicated to his Lord, and this verse was revealed: {Indeed, in the creation of the heavens and the earth and the alternation of the night and the day are signs for those of understanding}. Let them reflect on them.
