Ḥadīth | Ṭabarānī (الطبراني) tabarani:11242 حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلَوَيْهِ الْقَطَّانُ ثنا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عِيسَى الْعَطَّارُ ثنا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ بِشْرٍ أَبُو حُذَيْفَةَ ثنا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِنَّ اللهَ تَعَالَى يَدْعُو النَّاسَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ بِأَسْمَائِهِمْ سِتْرًا مِنْهُ عَلَى عِبَادِهِ وَأَمَّا عِنْدَ الصِّرَاطِ فَإِنَّ اللهَ ﷻ يُعْطِي كُلَّ مُؤْمِنٍ نُورًا وَكُلَّ مُؤْمِنَةٍ نُورًا وَكُلَّ مُنَافِقٍ نُورًا فَإِذَا اسْتَوَوْا عَلَى الصِّرَاطِ سَلَبَ اللهُ نُورَ الْمُنَافِقِينَ وَالْمُنَافِقَاتِ فَقَالَ الْمُنَافِقُونَ {انْظُرُونَا نَقْتَبِسْ مِنْ نُورِكُمْ} وَقَالَ الْمُؤْمِنُونَ {رَبَّنَا أَتْمِمْ لَنَا نُورَنا} فَلَا يَذْكُرُ عِنْدَ ذَلِكَ أَحَدٌ أَحَدًا

Ibn Abbas reported that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: 'Indeed, Allah the Most High will call people on the Day of Resurrection by their names, as a covering from Him over His servants. As for at the Sirat (bridge), Allah the Almighty will give every believing man a light and every believing woman a light, and every hypocrite man a light. When they are upon the Sirat, Allah will strip the light of the hypocrites, and the hypocrites will say: Wait for us, let us acquire from your light. And the believers will say: Our Lord, perfect our light for us. At that moment, no one will remember anyone else.'
