أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْمُنْكَدِرِ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، أَنَّ أَعْرَابِيًّا، بَايَعَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم عَلَى الإِسْلاَمِ فَأَصَابَ الأَعْرَابِيَّ وَعَكٌ بِالْمَدِينَةِ فَجَاءَ الأَعْرَابِيُّ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَقِلْنِي بَيْعَتِي . فَأَبَى ثُمَّ جَاءَهُ فَقَالَ أَقِلْنِي بَيْعَتِي . فَأَبَى فَخَرَجَ الأَعْرَابِيُّ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " إِنَّمَا الْمَدِينَةُ كَالْكِيرِ تَنْفِي خَبَثَهَا وَتَنْصَعُ طَيِّبَهَا " .
الترجمة الإنجليزية
It is narrated from Hadrat Jabir bin Hadrat 'Abdullah (may Allah be well pleased with him) that:a Bedouin pledged Islam to the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him), then the Bedouin was stricken with the fever in Al-Madinah. So he came to the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) and submitted: "O Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him), cancel my pledge," but he refused. Then he came to him again and said: "Cancel my pledge," but he refused. Then he came to him again and said: "Cancel my pledge," but he refused. Then the Bedouin left (Al-Madinah) and the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) sadi: "Al-Madinah his like the bellows; it expels its dross and brightness its good
الترجمة الأردية
حضرت جابر بن عبداللہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہما سے روایت ہے کہ ایک بدوی نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم سے اسلام پر بیعت کی، پھر مدینہ میں اسے بخار آ گیا۔ وہ بدوی رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کی خدمت میں آیا اور عرض کیا: یا رسول اللہ! میری بیعت واپس لے لیجیے۔ آپ نے انکار فرمایا۔ پھر وہ آیا اور عرض کیا: میری بیعت واپس لے لیجیے۔ آپ نے انکار فرمایا۔ پھر وہ بدوی (مدینہ سے) نکل گیا۔ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: مدینہ بھٹی کی مانند ہے جو اپنے میل کچیل کو نکال دیتی ہے اور اپنی خوبی کو چمکا دیتی ہے۔
