حدَّثنا بصحَّة ما ذكرتُه جعفرُ بن محمد بن نُصَير(2)الخُلْدي إملاءً ببغداد، حدثنا علي بن عبد العزيز، حدثنا إبراهيم بن زياد سَبَلانُ، حدثنا عبَّاد بن عبَّاد قال: أتيتُ يونسَ بن خبَّاب بمنًى عند المنارة وهو يقصُّ، فسألته عن حديث عذاب القبر، فحدَّثني به.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "The dwellers of Paradise will look at the dwellers of the upper chambers above them as you look at a brilliant star far away on the horizon, in the east or the west, because of the difference in their degrees." They said: "O Messenger of Allah, are those the stations of the prophets that no one else can attain?" He said: "By the One in Whose hand is my soul, they are men who believed in Allah and believed in the messengers."
الترجمة الأردية
(امام حاکم فرماتے ہیں کہ) میری مذکورہ بات کی صحت کی دلیل یہ ہے کہ عباد بن عباد نے کہا: میں منٰی میں مینارے کے پاس یونس بن خباب کے پاس آیا جبکہ وہ وعظ کر رہے تھے، میں نے ان سے عذابِ قبر والی حدیث کے بارے میں پوچھا تو انہوں نے مجھے یہ سنائی۔[المستدرك على الصحيحين/كتاب الإيمان/حدیث: 114]
