Narrated Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him): Some Companions of the Prophet (peace be upon him) came to him and said: O Messenger of Allah, the wealthy have carried off the reward, for they pray as we pray, fast as we fast, and give charity from their surplus wealth. He (peace be upon him) said: "Has not Allah, the Exalted, provided you too with the means of charity? Every tasbih (that is, saying Subhan Allah) is charity, every takbir is charity, every tahmid (that is, saying al-Hamdu lillah) is charity, every saying of 'La ilaha illa Allah' is charity, teaching what is good is charity, forbidding what is evil is charity, and in every one of you fulfilling the conjugal right there is charity." The people said: O Messenger of Allah, when one of us fulfills his desire (that is, has intercourse with his wife), is there reward in it too? He (peace be upon him) said: "Why not? Consider: if he were to spend it in what is unlawful, would there not be sin? In the same way, when he spends it in what is lawful, there is reward."
الترجمة الأردية
سیدنا ابوذر رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہچند اصحاب نبی کریمصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکے پاس آئے اور عرض کیا کہ اے اللہ کے رسولصلی اللہ علیہ وسلم! مال والے تو اجر و ثواب مال لوٹ لے گئے۔ اس لئے کہ وہ نماز پڑھتے ہیں جیسے ہم پڑھتے ہیں اور روزہ رکھتے ہیں جیسے ہم روزہ رکھتے ہیں اور اپنے زائد مالوں میں سے صدقہ دیتے ہیں۔ آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا کہ تمہارے لئے بھی تو اللہ تعالیٰ نے صدقہ کا سامان کر دیا ہے کہ ہر تسبیح (یعنی سبحان اللہ کہنا) صدقہ ہے، ہر تکبیر صدقہ ہے، ہر تحمید (یعنی الحمدللہ کہنا) صدقہ ہے، ہر بار ((لا الٰہ الا اللہ)) کہنا صدقہ ہے، اچھی بات سکھانا صدقہ ہے، بری بات سے روکنا صدقہ ہے اور ہر شخص کے حق زوجیت ادا کرنے میں صدقہ ہے۔ لوگوں نے عرض کیا کہ اے اللہ کے رسولصلی اللہ علیہ وسلم! ہم میں سے کوئی اپنی شہوت سے حق زوجیت ادا کرے (یعنی اپنی بیوی سے صحبت کرتا ہے) تو کیا اس میں بھی ثواب ہے؟ آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا کیوں نہیں؟ دیکھو تو اگر اسے حرام میں صرف کر لے تو گناہ ہو گا کہ نہیں؟ اسی طرح جب حلال میں صرف کرتا ہے تو ثواب ہوتا ہے۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 545]
