Narrated Aisha the Truthful, Mother of the Believers (may Allah be pleased with her): The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) went out in the morning wearing a cloak on which were figures of camel-saddles, or figures of cooking-pots. Then Hasan (may Allah be pleased with him) came, and he (peace be upon him) took him inside that cloak. Then Husayn (may Allah be pleased with him) came, and he took him in too. Then Fatimah al-Zahra (may Allah be pleased with her) came, and he took her in with them as well. Then Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) came, and he took him in too and said, "Allah wishes only to remove impurity from you and to purify you thoroughly, O People of the House." (al-Ahzab: 33) (This does not mean that the wives of the Prophet, peace be upon him, are not his household, as the Shia believe; rather, in truth the household are the wives, as the context of the verse also indicates. Along with them, he, peace be upon him, also included Ali, Fatimah, and Hasan and Husayn, may Allah be pleased with them.) [Mukhtasar Sahih Muslim, Hadith: 1656]
الترجمة الأردية
ام المؤمنین عائشہ صدیقہ رضی اللہ عنہا کہتی ہیں کہرسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمصبح کو نکلے اور آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمایک چادر اوڑھے ہوئے تھے جس پر کجاووں کی صورتیں یا ہانڈیوں کی صورتیں بنی ہوئی تھیں۔ اتنے میں سیدنا حسن رضی اللہ عنہ آئے تو آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے ان کو اس چادر کے اندر کر لیا۔ پھر سیدنا حسین رضی اللہ عنہ آئے تو ان کو بھی اس میں داخل کر لیا۔ پھر سیدہ فاطمۃالزہراء رضی اللہ عنہا آئیں تو ان کو بھی انہی کے ساتھ شامل کر لیا پھر سیدنا علی رضی اللہ عنہ آئے تو ان کو بھی شامل کر کے فرمایا کہ”اللہ تعالیٰ چاہتا ہے کہ تم سے ناپاکی کو دور کرے اور تم کو پاک کرے اے گھر والو!“(الاحزاب: 33)۔ (اس کا مطلب یہ نہیں کہ آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکی ازواج آپ کے اہل بیت نہیں جیسا کہ شیعہ کا نظریہ ہے بلکہ اصل میں اہل بیت تو ازواج ہی ہیں جو کہ آیت کا سیاق بھی بتاتا ہے۔ ان کے ساتھ ساتھ آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے سیدنا علی، فاطمہ اور حسنین رضی اللہ عنہم کو بھی شامل کر لیا ہے)۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 1656]
