أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْمُثَنَّى قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ الْحَجَّاجِ السَّامِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنِ الْحَجَّاجِ الصَّوَّافِ عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ عَنْ جَابِرٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ «إِذَا أَوَى الرَّجُلُ إِلَى فِرَاشِهِ أَتَاهُ مَلَكٌ وَشَيْطَانٌ فَيَقُولُ الْمَلَكُ اخْتِمْ بِخَيْرٍ وَيَقُولُ الشَّيْطَانُ اخْتِمْ بِشَرٍّ فَإِنْ ذَكَرَ اللَّهَ ثُمَّ نَامَ بَاتَتِ الْمَلَائِكَةُ تَكْلَؤُهُ فَإِنِ اسْتَيْقَظَ قَالَ الْمَلَكُ افْتَحْ بِخَيْرٍ وَقَالَ الشَّيْطَانُ افْتَحْ بِشَرٍّ فَإِنْ قَالَ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي رَدَّ عَلَيَّ نَفْسِي وَلَمْ يُمِتْهَا فِي مَنَامِهَا الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي يُمْسِكُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ أَنْ تَزُولَا» إِلَى آخِرِ الْآيَةِ «الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي يُمْسِكُ السَّمَاءَ أَنْ تَقَعَ عَلَى الْأَرْضِ إِلَّا بِإِذْنِهِ فَإِنْ وَقَعَ مِنْ سَرِيرِهِ فَمَاتَ دَخَلَ الْجَنَّةَ»
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Ahmad ibn Ali ibn al-Muthanna informed us, he said: Ibrahim ibn al-Hajjaj al-Sami narrated to us, he said: Hammad ibn Salama narrated to us, from al-Hajjaj al-Sawwaf, from Abu al-Zubayr, from Jabir, that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'When a man goes to his bed, an angel and a devil come to him. The angel says: End with good, and the devil says: End with evil. If he remembers Allah then sleeps, the angels spend the night guarding him. When he wakes up, the angel says: Begin with good, and the devil says: Begin with evil. If he says: Praise be to Allah who returned my soul to me and did not cause it to die in its sleep. Praise be to Allah who holds the heavens and the earth lest they should move away' - to the end of the verse - 'Praise be to Allah who holds the heaven from falling upon the earth except by His permission. If he falls from his bed and dies, he will enter Paradise.'
