Hadrat Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (may Allah be well pleased with him) narrated that the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated: "The people shall be gathered at the Bridge of Hell, upon which there shall be thorns and hooks. The people shall pass — some of them passing like lightning, some like a swift horse, some running, some walking, and some crawling. The angels on both sides of it shall say, 'O Allah, grant safety, grant safety!' The hooks shall snatch them." He stated: "As for its permanent inhabitants — they shall neither die nor live. As for people who are seized for sins and transgressions, they shall burn until they become charcoal. They shall be taken in bundles and cast upon a river of Paradise, and they shall sprout as a seed sprouts in the silt carried by a flood." The Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated: "Have you seen the sabgha' (a plant that first appears yellow then turns green)? Then afterwards they shall be given permission and enter Paradise." Hadrat Abu Sa'id said: "Each of them shall be given the like of the entire world." He also said: "On the Sirat there shall be three trees. The last one to exit the Fire shall be on the edge of it, and he shall say, 'O Lord, bring me near that tree so that I may be in its shade and eat from its fruit.' Allah shall say, 'Your covenant and pledge — you shall not ask Me for anything else.' He shall say, 'My covenant and pledge — I shall not ask for anything else.' He shall be moved to it, then he shall see another one more beautiful than it. He shall say, 'O Lord, this one — let me eat from its fruit and be in its shade.' He shall be moved to it. Then he shall see yet another more beautiful than it, and he shall say, 'O Lord, this one — let me eat from its fruit and be in its shade.' He shall be moved to it. Then he shall hear the voices of the people and see their forms, and he shall say, 'O Lord, admit me into Paradise.'" Abu Sa'id said: Then he mentioned after him — the Companions of the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) mentioned it — one of them said, "He shall be given the like of the world and the like of it with it," and the other said, "The like of the world and ten times its like."
الترجمة الأردية
حضرت ابوسعید خدری رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: "لوگ جہنم کے پُل کے پاس جمع ہوں گے جس پر کانٹے اور ہُکس ہوں گے۔ لوگ گزریں گے — اُن میں سے کوئی بجلی کی طرح، کوئی تیز گھوڑے کی طرح، کوئی دوڑتے ہوئے، کوئی چلتے ہوئے، اور کوئی گھسٹتے ہوئے۔ اور دونوں طرف فرشتے کہیں گے: اے اللہ! سلامت رکھ، سلامت رکھ! اور ہُکس انہیں چھین رہے ہوں گے۔" فرمایا: "رہے اس کے مستقل باشندے — وہ نہ مریں گے نہ زندہ رہیں گے۔ اور جو لوگ گناہوں اور خطاؤں کی وجہ سے پکڑے جائیں گے وہ جلیں گے اور کوئلے بن جائیں گے، پھر گٹھڑیوں کی شکل میں اُٹھائے جائیں گے اور جنت کی ایک نہر پر ڈالے جائیں گے — وہ ایسے اگیں گے جیسے دانا سیلاب کے ملبے میں اگتا ہے۔" نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے فرمایا: "کیا تم نے صبغاء دیکھی ہے؟ پھر انہیں بعد میں اجازت دی جائے گی اور وہ جنت میں داخل ہوں گے۔" حضرت ابوسعید نے فرمایا: ان میں سے ہر ایک کو دنیا جتنا ملے گا۔ فرمایا: اور صراط پر تین درخت ہوں گے۔ سب سے آخر میں جہنم سے نکلنے والا اس کے کنارے پر ہوگا اور کہے گا: اے رب! مجھے اس درخت کے قریب کر دے تاکہ میں اس کے سایے میں رہوں اور اس کا پھل کھاؤں۔ اللہ فرمائے گا: تمہارا عہد اور ذمہ — مجھ سے اس کے علاوہ کچھ نہ مانگنا۔ وہ کہے گا: میرا عہد اور ذمہ — اس کے علاوہ نہیں مانگوں گا۔ اسے وہاں منتقل کیا جائے گا، پھر وہ ایک اور دیکھے گا اس سے خوبصورت تر، اور کہے گا: اے رب! یہ والا — اس کا پھل کھاؤں اور اس کے سایے میں رہوں۔ اسے وہاں منتقل کیا جائے گا، پھر ایک اور دیکھے گا اس سے بھی خوبصورت، اور کہے گا: اے رب! یہ والا — اس کا پھل کھاؤں اور اس کے سایے میں رہوں۔ اسے وہاں منتقل کیا جائے گا۔ پھر وہ لوگوں کی آوازیں سنے گا اور ان کی شکلیں دیکھے گا اور کہے گا: اے رب! مجھے جنت میں داخل فرما۔ ابوسعید نے فرمایا: پھر اس کے بعد آپ کے اصحاب نے اس کا ذکر کیا — ان میں سے ایک نے کہا: اسے دنیا جتنا اور اس جتنا اس کے ساتھ ملے گا، اور دوسرے نے کہا: دنیا جتنا اور دس گنا۔
