Hadrat Ali ibn Abi Talib (Hadrat Ali al-Murtada, may Allah ennoble his countenance) narrated: The Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) took me until he brought me to the Ka'bah and said: 'Sit down.' I sat beside the Ka'bah. The Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) climbed upon my shoulders and then said: 'Stand up.' I stood, but when he saw my weakness beneath him, he said: 'Sit down.' I came down and sat. Then he said: 'O Ali, climb upon my shoulders.' I climbed upon his shoulders, then the Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stood up with me. When he stood up with me, it seemed to me that if I wished, I could have reached the horizon of the sky. I climbed atop the Ka'bah, and the Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stepped aside and said: 'Cast down their greatest idol, the idol of Quraysh.' It was made of copper, fastened to the ground with iron pegs. The Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: 'Work on it,' while saying: 'Go on, go on! Truth has come and falsehood has vanished. Indeed, falsehood is ever bound to vanish' (al-Isra: 81). I kept working on it until I managed to dislodge it, and he said: 'Throw it down!' I threw it down and it shattered. Then I descended from atop the Ka'bah, and I and the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) hurried away, fearing that someone from Quraysh or others might see us. Hadrat Ali (may Allah ennoble his countenance) said: Nothing has been raised upon it until this very hour.
الترجمة الأردية
حضرت علی المرتضیٰ کرّم اللہ تعالیٰ وجہہ الکریم سے روایت ہے کہ حضور نبی اکرم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم مجھے لے کر کعبہ کے پاس آئے اور فرمایا: 'بیٹھ جاؤ۔' میں کعبہ کے پاس بیٹھ گیا۔ حضور صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم میرے کندھوں پر چڑھے پھر فرمایا: 'کھڑے ہو جاؤ۔' میں کھڑا ہوا لیکن جب آپ نے اپنے نیچے میری کمزوری دیکھی تو فرمایا: 'بیٹھ جاؤ۔' میں اتر کر بیٹھ گیا۔ پھر فرمایا: 'اے علی! میرے کندھوں پر چڑھو۔' میں آپ کے کندھوں پر چڑھا۔ پھر حضور صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم میرے ساتھ کھڑے ہو گئے۔ جب آپ میرے ساتھ کھڑے ہوئے تو مجھے لگا کہ اگر میں چاہوں تو آسمان کے کنارے تک پہنچ جاؤں۔ میں کعبہ کے اوپر چڑھ گیا اور حضور صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم ہٹ گئے اور فرمایا: 'ان کا سب سے بڑا بت، قریش کا بت گرا دو۔' وہ تانبے کا بنا ہوا تھا اور لوہے کی کیلوں سے زمین میں گاڑا ہوا تھا۔ حضور صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے فرمایا: 'لگے رہو' اور فرماتے رہے: 'لگے رہو لگے رہو! حق آیا اور باطل مٹ گیا، بے شک باطل مٹنے والا ہی تھا' (الاسراء: 81)۔ میں اس کے ساتھ لگا رہا یہاں تک کہ مجھے اس پر قابو آ گیا۔ فرمایا: 'گرا دو!' میں نے اسے گرا دیا اور وہ ٹوٹ کر ٹکڑے ٹکڑے ہو گیا اور میں کعبہ کے اوپر سے اتر پڑا۔ پھر میں اور حضور صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم بھاگے کیونکہ ہمیں ڈر تھا کہ قریش یا کوئی اور ہمیں دیکھ نہ لے۔ حضرت علی کرّم اللہ تعالیٰ وجہہ الکریم نے فرمایا: اس پر آج تک کچھ نہیں چڑھایا گیا۔
