Hadrat Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be well pleased with him) narrated: The two sons of Mulaykah — and they were from the Ansar — came and said: O Messenger of Allah, our mother used to be dutiful to her husband, honor guests, but she buried her children alive during the Days of Ignorance. Where is our mother? He stated: 'Your mother is in the Fire.' They stood up and that distressed them greatly. The Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) called them back and said: 'Indeed, my mother is with your mother.' Then a hypocrite said: What good does this do for his mother any more than what the two sons of Mulaykah did for their mother, while we follow in his footsteps? A young man from the Ansar — and I never saw anyone who asked the Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) more questions than he — said: O Messenger of Allah, are your parents in the Fire? He stated: 'I have not yet asked my Lord regarding them that He may grant me concerning them, but I shall be standing on that Day at the Praised Station.' The hypocrite said to the young Ansari: Ask him what is the Praised Station? He said: O Messenger of Allah, what is the Praised Station? He stated: 'The Day when Allah descends upon His Throne... and you will be brought barefoot, naked, uncircumcised. The first to be clothed will be Ibrahim — Allah Almighty will say: Clothe My beloved friend in two fine white garments from the garments of Paradise. Then I shall be clothed after him, and I shall stand at the right of Allah Almighty at a station that the first and the last will envy me for. A river shall be opened for me from al-Kawthar to my Pool.' The hypocrite said: I have never heard the like of today; rarely does a river flow except upon clay or pebbles — so ask him upon what does the river flow? He stated: 'Upon banks of musk and pebbles.' The hypocrite said: I have never heard the like; rarely does a river flow except that it has vegetation. He stated: 'Yes.' He said: What is it? He stated: 'Rods of gold.' The hypocrite said: Rarely does a rod grow without bearing fruit — ask him if those rods bear fruit? He stated: 'Yes, pearls and gems.' The hypocrite said: Ask him about the drink of the Pool. The Ansari said: O Messenger of Allah, what is the drink of the Pool? He stated: 'Whiter than milk and sweeter than honey. Whoever Allah gives a drink from it will never thirst after it, and whoever is deprived of it will never be quenched.' This hadith has a sound chain of transmission, and they did not record it.
الترجمة الأردية
حضرت عبداللہ بن مسعود رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ ملیکہ کے دو بیٹے آئے — اور وہ انصار میں سے تھے — اور عرض کیا: یا رسول اللہ! ہماری ماں شوہر کا خیال رکھتی تھی، مہمان کی عزت کرتی تھی لیکن اس نے جاہلیت میں بچے زندہ دفن کیے تھے۔ ہماری ماں کہاں ہے؟ ارشاد فرمایا: 'تمہاری ماں آگ میں ہے۔' وہ دونوں اٹھے اور انہیں بہت تکلیف ہوئی۔ حضور صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے انہیں بلایا اور وہ واپس آئے تو ارشاد فرمایا: 'میری ماں تمہاری ماں کے ساتھ ہے۔' ایک منافق نے کہا: اس سے ان کی ماں کا کیا فائدہ ہوا جو ملیکہ کے بیٹوں کی ماں کا نہیں ہوا، جبکہ ہم ان کے قدموں پر چلتے ہیں؟ ایک نوجوان انصاری نے — میں نے اس سے زیادہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم سے سوال کرنے والا کوئی نہیں دیکھا — عرض کیا: یا رسول اللہ! کیا آپ کے والدین آگ میں ہیں؟ ارشاد فرمایا: 'میں نے ابھی اپنے رب سے ان کے بارے میں نہیں مانگا کہ وہ مجھے ان کے بارے میں عطا فرمائے، اور میں اس دن مقامِ محمود پر کھڑا ہوں گا۔' منافق نے انصاری نوجوان سے کہا: پوچھو مقامِ محمود کیا ہے؟ عرض کیا: یا رسول اللہ! مقامِ محمود کیا ہے؟ ارشاد فرمایا: 'وہ دن جب اللہ اپنی کرسی پر تشریف لائے گا... اور تم ننگے پاؤں، ننگے بدن، غیر مختون لائے جاؤ گے۔ سب سے پہلے جسے کپڑے پہنائے جائیں گے وہ ابراہیم ہوں گے — اللہ تعالیٰ فرمائے گا: میرے خلیل کو جنت کے ریشم کے دو سفید جوڑے پہناؤ۔ پھر ان کے بعد مجھے پہنایا جائے گا اور میں اللہ تعالیٰ کے دائیں طرف ایسے مقام پر کھڑا ہوں گا جس پر اولین و آخرین مجھ سے رشک کریں گے۔ میرے لیے کوثر سے میرے حوض تک ایک نہر کھولی جائے گی۔' منافق نے کہا: آج جیسی بات کبھی نہیں سنی، شاذ ہی کوئی نہر بہتی ہے مگر مٹی یا کنکروں پر — پوچھو نہر کس پر بہتی ہے؟ ارشاد فرمایا: 'مشک کے کناروں اور کنکروں پر۔' منافق نے کہا: آج جیسی بات کبھی نہیں سنی، شاذ ہی کوئی نہر بہتی ہے جس میں پودے نہ ہوں۔ ارشاد فرمایا: 'ہاں۔' کہا: کیا ہیں؟ ارشاد فرمایا: 'سونے کی شاخیں۔' منافق نے کہا: شاذ ہی کوئی شاخ ہوتی ہے جس میں پھل نہ ہو — پوچھو کیا ان شاخوں میں پھل ہیں؟ ارشاد فرمایا: 'ہاں، موتی اور جواہر۔' منافق نے کہا: حوض کے مشروب کے بارے میں پوچھو۔ انصاری نے عرض کیا: یا رسول اللہ! حوض کا مشروب کیسا ہے؟ ارشاد فرمایا: 'دودھ سے زیادہ سفید اور شہد سے زیادہ میٹھا۔ جسے اللہ اس میں سے ایک گھونٹ پلا دے وہ اس کے بعد کبھی پیاسا نہیں ہوگا اور جو محروم رہا وہ کبھی سیراب نہیں ہوگا۔' یہ حدیث صحیح الاسناد ہے اور انہوں نے اسے روایت نہیں کیا۔
