حَدَّثَنَاسَعِيدُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ، عَنْشُعْبَةَ، عَنْمَنْصُورٍ، عَنْإِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْعَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ، عَنْأَبِي مَسْعُودٍ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ:"مَنْ قَرَأَ الْآيَتَيْنِ الْآخِرَتَيْنِ مِنْ سُورَةِ الْبَقَرَةِ فِي لَيْلَةٍ، كَفَتَاهُ".
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Abu Hurayrah said: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "Gather together, for I will recite to you one-third of the Quran." So whoever was present gathered, then the Prophet (peace be upon him) came out and recited 'Qul Huwa Allahu Ahad,' then he went inside. We said to one another: 'The Messenger of Allah said that he would recite one-third of the Quran; we think this is a revelation coming from heaven.' Then the Prophet (peace be upon him) came out and said: "I told you I would recite one-third of the Quran. Indeed, it (Surah al-Ikhlas) is equivalent to one-third of the Quran."
الترجمة الأردية
سیدنا ابومسعود انصاری رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے، نبی کریمصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا:”جو سورہ البقرہ کی آخری دو آیتیں پڑھ لے وہ اس کے لئے کافی ہیں۔“صحیح بخاری میں ہے:”جس نے سورہ بقرہ کی دو آخری آیتیں رات میں پڑھ لیں وہ اسے (ہر آفت سے بچانے کے لئے) کافی ہو جائیں گی۔“[سنن دارمي/من كتاب فضائل القرآن /حدیث: 3420]
