وَعَنْ جَابِرٍ { أَنَّ رَسُولَ اَللَّهِ - صلى الله عليه وسلم -قَامَ فِي شَهْرِ رَمَضَانَ, ثُمَّ اِنْتَظَرُوهُ مِنْ اَلْقَابِلَةِ فَلَمَّا يَخْرُجْ , وَقَالَ : " إِنِّي خَشِيتُ أَنْ يُكْتَبَ عَلَيْكُمْ اَلْوِتْرُ } رَوَاهُ اِبْنُ حِبَّانَ . 11 - ضعيف بهذا اللفظ . رواه ابن حبان ( 2409 ) ،.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
It is narrated by Hadrat Jabir (may Allah be well pleased with him) that Allah's Messenger (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) prayed during the month of Ramadan. Then they (the Sahabah) waited for him on the following night, but he did not come out and he said, "I feared that the Witr (prayer) might be prescribed for you." .
الترجمة الأردية
حضرت جابر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے رمضان کے مہینے میں (تراویح) نماز پڑھی۔ پھر صحابہ اگلی رات انتظار کر رہے تھے (مگر آپ نہیں نکلے)۔ آپ نے ارشاد فرمایا: مجھے خوف ہوا کہ تم پر فرض نہ ہو جائے۔
