Abdullah ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrated that the Prophet (peace be upon him) designated Dhul-Hulayfah as the Miqat for the people of Madinah, al-Juhfah for the people of Sham, Qarn al-Manazil for the people of Najd, and Yalamlam for the people of Yemen. These are the Miqats for the residents of those places, and also for anyone passing through them intending Hajj or Umrah. Those who live between the Miqats and Makkah should enter Ihram from where they set out, and the people of Makkah enter Ihram from Makkah itself.
الترجمة الأردية
سیدنا عبداللہ بن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما سے روایت ہے کہنبی کریمصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے مدینہ والوں کے لیے ذوالحلیفہ کو میقات قرار دیا تھا اور شام والوں کے لیے جحفہ اور نجد والوں کے لیے قرن المنازل اور یمن والوں کے لیے یلملم۔ یہ مقامات یہاں کے رہنے والوں کے لیے بھی میقات ہیں۔ اور جو شخص حج یا عمرہ کے ارادہ سے غیر مقام کا رہنے والا ان (مقامات) کی طرف سے ہو کر آئے، اس کی بھی میقات ہیں پھر جو شخص ان مقامات سے مکہ کی طرف کا رہنے والا ہو تو وہ جہاں سے نکلے احرام باندھ لے اسی طرح مکہ والے مکہ ہی سے احرام باندھ لیں۔[مختصر صحيح بخاري/حدیث: 774]
