Narrated Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him): The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "Whoever follows a Muslim's funeral out of faith and seeking reward, and remains with it until the funeral prayer is offered and the burial is complete, will return with two Qirats of reward, each Qirat being like the mountain of Uhud. And whoever offers the funeral prayer and then leaves before the burial will return with one Qirat."
الترجمة الأردية
سیدنا ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہرسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا: جو شخص کسی مسلمان کے جنازے کے پیچھے ایمان کا تقاضا اور ثواب سمجھ کر جاتا ہے اور جب تک کہ اس پر نماز نہ پڑھ لے اور اس کے دفن سے فراغت حاصل نہ کر لے، اس کے ہمراہ رہتا ہے تو وہ دو قیراط ثواب لے کر لوٹتا ہے (اور ان میں سے) ہر ایک قیراط احد (پہاڑ) کے برابر ہوتا ہے اور جو شخص (صرف) جنازہ پڑھ لے پھر تدفین سے پہلے لوٹ آئے تو وہ ایک قیراط ثواب لے کر لوٹتا ہے۔[مختصر صحيح بخاري/حدیث: 44]
