Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) reported: "A woman asked the Prophet (peace be upon him) about the bath after menstruation. He instructed her on how to take the bath and said: 'Take a piece of cotton scented with musk and purify yourself with it.' She asked: 'How should I purify myself with it?' The Prophet said: 'SubhanAllah! Purify yourself with it.' Aisha said: 'I pulled her toward me and told her: Apply it to the traces of blood (on the private part).'"
الترجمة الأردية
ام المؤمنین عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا سے (روایت ہے کہ)ایک عورت نے نبی کریمصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمسے اپنے غسل حیض کی بابت پوچھا تو آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے اسے حکم دیا:”اس طرح غسل کر لے۔“فرمایا:”ایک کستوری لگا ہوا روئی کا ٹکڑا لے اور اس سے طہارت حاصل کر لے۔“اس نے عرض کی اس سے کس طرح طہارت حاصل کروں؟ آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا:”سبحان اللہ! .... طہارت حاصل کر لے۔“(ام المؤمنین کہتی ہیں) تو میں نے اس عورت کو اپنی طرف کھینچ لیا اور کہا کہ”اسے خون کے مقام (شرمگاہ) پر لگا لے۔“[مختصر صحيح بخاري/حدیث: 213]
