Narrated Hudhaifah bin al-Yaman (may Allah be pleased with him): When the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) went to his bed, he used to recite this supplication: "(O Allah,) in Your name I die and I live." And when he awoke, he used to recite this supplication: "All praise is due to Allah who gave us life after He caused us to die (i.e., sleep), and to Him is the return (after being raised from the graves)."
الترجمة الأردية
سیدنا حذیفہ بن یمان رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہرسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمجب اپنے بچھونے پر تشریف لے جاتے تو یہ دعا پڑھتے:”(اے اللہ! میں) تیرے ہی نام سے مرتا اور جیتا ہوں۔“اور جب بیدار ہوتے تو یہ دعا پڑھتے تھے:”ہر قسم کی تعریف اس اللہ کی ہے جس نے ہم کو مرنے (یعنی سونے) کے بعد زندہ کیا (جگایا) اور اسی کے پاس (قبروں سے اٹھ کر) جانا ہے۔“[مختصر صحيح بخاري/حدیث: 2073]
