Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) related: I came to the Prophet (peace be upon him). He (peace be upon him) was sleeping, wearing white clothes. Then after a little while I went (again) and he was awake. He (peace be upon him) said (at that time): "Whoever said 'La ilaha illa Allah' (there is no god but Allah) and died upon it will surely enter Paradise." I said: Even if he committed fornication and theft? He (peace be upon him) said: "Even if he committed fornication and theft." I said again: Even if he committed fornication and theft? He (peace be upon him) said: "Even if he committed fornication and theft." I said a third time: Even if he committed fornication and theft? He (peace be upon him) said: "Even if he committed fornication and theft. And may Abu Dharr's nose be covered in dust." (That is, even if Abu Dharr finds it disagreeable.) And when Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) would narrate this hadith, he would say (out of pride): "May Abu Dharr's nose be covered in dust."
الترجمة الأردية
سیدنا ابوذر رضی اللہ عنہ نے بیان کیا کہمیں نبی کریمصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکے پاس آیا، آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمسفید کپڑے پہنے ہوئے سو رہے تھے۔ پھر تھوڑی دیر کے بعد گیا تو جاگ رہے تھے۔ آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے (اس وقت) یہ فرمایا:”جس نے کلمہ لا الہٰ الا اللہ کہا اور اسی پر اس کا خاتمہ ہوا تو وہ ضرور جنت میں داخل ہو گا۔“میں نے کہا اگرچہ اس نے زنا اور چوری کی ہو؟ آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا:”اگرچہ اس نے زنا اور چوری کی ہو۔“میں نے دوبارہ کہا اگرچہ اس نے زنا اور چوری کی ہو؟ آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا:”اگرچہ اس نے زنا اور چوری کی ہو۔“میں نے تیسری مرتبہ کہا اگرچہ اس نے زنا اور چوری کی ہو؟ آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا:”اگرچہ اس نے زنا اور چوری کی ہو۔“(اور) ابوذر کی ناک خاک آلود ہو۔“(یعنی اگرچہ ابوذر کو برا معلوم ہو)۔ اور جب سیدنا ابوذر رضی اللہ عنہ اس حدیث کو بیان کرتے تو (بطریق فخر) فرماتے”ابوذر کی ناک خاک آلود ہو۔“[مختصر صحيح بخاري/حدیث: 1987]
