حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَةُ، عَنْ هِشَامٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ أَخْبَرَتْنِي عَائِشَةُ، أَنَّ يَدَ السَّارِقِ، لَمْ تُقْطَعْ عَلَى عَهْدِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم إِلاَّ فِي ثَمَنِ مِجَنٍّ حَجَفَةٍ أَوْ تُرْسٍ. حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ، حَدَّثَنَا حُمَيْدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، مِثْلَهُ.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Hadrat 'Uthman ibn Abi Shaybah narrated to us, 'Abdah narrated to us, from Hisham, from his father, who said: 'A'ishah (may Allah be well pleased with her) informed me that the hand of a thief was not cut off in the time of the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) except for (stealing something worth) the price of a shield — a leather shield or a buckler. Hadrat 'Uthman narrated to us, Humayd ibn Hadrat 'Abd al-Rahman narrated to us, Hisham narrated to us, from his father, from 'A'ishah (may Allah be well pleased with her) the same.
الترجمة الأردية
ہم سے حضرت عثمان بن ابی شیبہ نے بیان کیا، ہم سے عبدہ نے بیان کیا، انہوں نے ہشام سے، انہوں نے اپنے والد سے، کہا: مجھے حضرت اُمّ المؤمنین عائشہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہا نے خبر دی کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کے عہد مبارک میں چور کا ہاتھ نہیں کاٹا جاتا تھا مگر ایک ڈھال کی قیمت میں — ڈھال یا چمڑے کی ڈھال — (جو کم از کم تین درہم کی ہوتی تھی)۔ ہم سے حضرت عثمان نے بیان کیا، ہم سے حمید بن عبدالرحمٰن نے بیان کیا، ہم سے ہشام نے بیان کیا، انہوں نے اپنے والد سے، حضرت اُمّ المؤمنین عائشہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہا سے اسی طرح روایت کیا۔
