حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو النُّعْمَانِ، حَدَّثَنَا ثَابِتُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ، حَدَّثَنَا عَاصِمٌ، قَالَ سَأَلْتُ أَنَسًا ـ رضى الله عنه ـ عَنِ الْقُنُوتِ. قَالَ قَبْلَ الرُّكُوعِ. فَقُلْتُ إِنَّ فُلاَنًا يَزْعُمُ أَنَّكَ قُلْتَ بَعْدَ الرُّكُوعِ، فَقَالَ كَذَبَ. ثُمَّ حَدَّثَنَا عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم أَنَّهُ قَنَتَ شَهْرًا بَعْدَ الرُّكُوعِ يَدْعُو عَلَى أَحْيَاءٍ مِنْ بَنِي سُلَيْمٍ ـ قَالَ ـ بَعَثَ أَرْبَعِينَ أَوْ سَبْعِينَ ـ يَشُكُّ فِيهِ ـ مِنَ الْقُرَّاءِ إِلَى أُنَاسٍ مِنَ الْمُشْرِكِينَ، فَعَرَضَ لَهُمْ هَؤُلاَءِ فَقَتَلُوهُمْ، وَكَانَ بَيْنَهُمْ وَبَيْنَ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم عَهْدٌ، فَمَا رَأَيْتُهُ وَجَدَ عَلَى أَحَدٍ مَا وَجَدَ عَلَيْهِمْ.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
It is narrated from Hadrat 'Asim al-Ahwal (upon him be mercy) that I asked Hadrat Anas (may Allah be well pleased with him) about the Qunut supplication. He said: It is to be recited before bowing. I submitted: Such-and-such a person claims that you said it is after bowing. Hadrat Anas (may Allah be well pleased with him) said: He is mistaken. Then he narrated to us that the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) recited the Qunut for one month after bowing, invoking against certain clans of Banu Sulaim. He stated: The Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) sent forty or seventy — the narrator was uncertain — Qurra (Companions well-versed in the Quran) to some polytheists, but the people of Banu Sulaim intercepted them and martyred them, even though they had a peace pact with the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him). I never saw the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) as grieved and sorrowful over anything as he was over those Companions.
الترجمة الأردية
حضرت عاصم احول رحمۃ اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ سے روایت ہے کہ میں نے حضرت انس رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے دعائے قنوت کے بارے میں پوچھا، تو آپ نے فرمایا: رکوع سے پہلے پڑھی جاتی ہے۔ میں نے عرض کیا: فلاں شخص کہتے ہیں کہ آپ نے رکوع کے بعد فرمایا تھا۔ حضرت انس رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ نے فرمایا: انہوں نے غلط کہا۔ پھر انہوں نے ہم سے بیان کیا کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ایک ماہ تک رکوع کے بعد قنوت پڑھی، جس میں بنو سلیم کے بعض قبائل کے حق میں بددعا فرمائی۔ آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے چالیس یا ستر — راوی کو شک تھا — قرّاء (حافظ قرآن) صحابہ کی ایک جماعت مشرکین کے پاس بھیجی تھی، لیکن بنو سلیم کے لوگ ان کے آڑے آئے اور انہیں شہید کر دیا، حالانکہ ان کا نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم سے معاہدہ تھا۔ میں نے نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کو کسی معاملے پر اتنا غمگین اور رنجیدہ نہیں دیکھا جتنا ان صحابہ کی شہادت پر آپ رنجیدہ تھے۔
