حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الْمُفَضَّلُ بْنُ فَضَالَةَ، عَنْ عُقَيْلٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، قَالَ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم إِذَا ارْتَحَلَ قَبْلَ أَنْ تَزِيغَ الشَّمْسُ أَخَّرَ الظُّهْرَ إِلَى وَقْتِ الْعَصْرِ، ثُمَّ نَزَلَ فَجَمَعَ بَيْنَهُمَا، فَإِنْ زَاغَتِ الشَّمْسُ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَرْتَحِلَ صَلَّى الظُّهْرَ ثُمَّ رَكِبَ.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
It is narrated from Hadrat Anas bin Malik (may Allah be well pleased with him) who said: Whenever the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) started a journey before the sun declined, he would delay the Zuhr prayer until the time of Asr, then dismount and combine them. But if the sun had declined before he set out, he would offer the Zuhr prayer first and then ride.
الترجمة الأردية
حضرت انس بن مالک رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ فرماتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم جب سورج ڈھلنے سے پہلے سفر شروع فرماتے تو ظہر کو عصر کے وقت تک مؤخر فرماتے، پھر (کہیں راستے میں) اتر کر دونوں ملا کر پڑھتے۔ لیکن اگر سفر شروع کرنے سے پہلے سورج ڈھل چکا ہوتا تو ظہر پڑھ کر پھر سوار ہوتے۔
