حدثنا إبراهيم بن نصر حدثنا موسى بن مسعود حدثنا عكرمة يعني ابن عمار عن ضمضم بن جوس قال دخلت مسجد المدينة أبتغي صاحبا لي فإذا أنا برجل براق الثنايا وإلى جنبه رجل ادعج أبيض جميل وإذا هما في ظل المسجد قال فدعاني الشيخ فقال يا يماني قال فجئت فقال لا تقولن والله لا يدخلك الله الجنة والله لا يغفر الله لك قال قلت من أنت يرحمك الله قال أبو هريرة فقلت يا أبا هريرة والله لقد عبت علي أمرا كنت أقوله لأهلي ولخدمي إذا غضبت عليهم قال ف��إِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يقول كان رجلان في بني إسرائيل متواخيين فكان أحدهما مجتهدا والآخر مذنباكان المجتهد يقول للمذنب أقصر فيقول المذنب خلني وربي حتى وجده يوما على عظيمة فقال له أقصر قال خلني وربي بعثت علي رقيبا فقال والله لا يدخلك الله الجنة فبعث إليهما ملك فقبض أرواحهما فقال الله تبارك وتعالى للمذنب ادخل الجنة برحمتي وقال للآخر أكنت قادرا على ما في يدي أتستطيع أن تمنع عبدي رحمتي ادخلوه النار قال أبو هريرة رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى الله عليه وسلم لقد تكلم بكلمة أوبقت دنياه وآخرتهوَهَذَا الحديثُ لاَ نَعْلَمْهُ يُرْوَى إِلا عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِهَذا الإِسْنَاد
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Ibrahim ibn Nasr narrated to us, Musa ibn Mas'ud narrated to us, Ikrimah — meaning Ibn Ammar — narrated to us from Damdam ibn Jaws who said: I entered the mosque of Madinah looking for a companion of mine, and there I saw a man with bright front teeth, and beside him a man who was dark-eyed, fair, and handsome, both in the shade of the mosque. The elder called me and said: O Yamani! I went to him and he said: Do not say 'By Allah, Allah will not admit you to Paradise' or 'By Allah, Allah will not forgive you.' I said: Who are you, may Allah have mercy on you? He said: Abu Hurairah. I said: O Abu Hurairah, by Allah, you have faulted me for something I used to say to my family and servants when I was angry with them. He said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) say: "There were two men among the Children of Israel who were brothers [in faith]. One was devout and the other was a sinner. The devout one would say to the sinner: 'Desist!' The sinner would say: 'Leave me and my Lord.' Until one day he found him committing a grave sin and said: 'Desist!' He said: 'Leave me and my Lord — were you sent as a watcher over me?' He said: 'By Allah, Allah will not admit you to Paradise.' Allah sent an angel to take their souls. Allah, Blessed and Exalted, said to the sinner: 'Enter Paradise by My mercy.' And He said to the other: 'Were you able to control what is in My Hand? Can you prevent My servant from My mercy? Take him to the Fire.' Abu Hurairah (may Allah be well pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: "He spoke a word that destroyed his worldly life and his Hereafter." This hadith is not known to be narrated except from Abu Hurairah (may Allah be well pleased with him) from the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) through this chain.
