حَدَّثنا الفضل بن إسماعيل ومُحَمد بن عثمان بن كرامة قَالاَ حَدَّثنَا خالد بن مخلد قَال حَدَّثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنَ جَعْفَرٍ بن أبي كثير عن العلاء بن عَبد الرحمن عَن أَبِيه عَن أبي هُرَيرة أن أسود كان ينقي المسجد فافتقده النَّبِيّ صَلَّى الله عَلَيه وَسَلَّم فَقَالُوا مَاتَ فَأَتَى النَّبِيّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيه وَسَلَّم قبره فصلى عَلَيْهِوَهَذَا الْحَدِيثُ لَا نَعْلَمُ رَوَاهُ عَنْ العلاء إلاَّ مُحَمد بن أبي كثير صَلَّى الله عَلَيه وَسَلَّم فَقَالُوا مَاتَ فَأَتَى النَّبِيّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيه وَسَلَّم قبره فصلى عَلَيْهِوَهَذَا الْحَدِيثُ لَا نَعْلَمُ رَوَاهُ عَنْ العلاء إلاَّ مُحَمد بن أبي كثير
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Al-Fadl ibn Ismail and Muhammad ibn Uthman ibn Karamah narrated to us, both saying: Khalid ibn Makhlad narrated to us, saying: Muhammad ibn Jafar ibn Abi Kathir narrated to us from al-Ala ibn Abd al-Rahman from his father from Hadrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be well pleased with him) that a Black man used to clean the mosque. The Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) missed him and they said: 'He has died.' So the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) went to his grave and prayed over him. This hadith is not known to us to have been narrated from al-Ala except by Muhammad ibn Abi Kathir.
