حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَبِي ثُمَامَةَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا عَفَّانُ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا حَمَّادٌ عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ السَّائِبِ عَنْ أَبِي الْبَخْتَرِيِّ أَنَّ سَلْمَانَ حَاصَرَ قَصْرًا مِنْ قُصُورِ قُدَيْدٍ فَقَالَ لِأَصْحَابِهِ دَعُونِي أَفْعَلُ مَا رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَفْعَلُهُ فَحَمِدَ اللَّهَ وَأَثْنَى عَلَيْهِ ثُمَّ قَالَ إِنِّي امْرُؤٌ مِنْكُمْ وَإِنَّ اللَّهَ رَزَقَنِي الْإِسْلَامَ وَقَدْ رَأَيْتُمْ طَاعَةَ الْعَرَبِ لِي فَإِنْ آمَنْتُمْ وَهَاجَرْتُمْ فَأَنْتُمْ بِمَنْزِلَتِنَا وَإِنْ أَنْتُمْ أَسْلَمْتُمْ وَأَقَمْتُمْ فِي دِيَارِكُمْ فَأَنْتُمْ بِمَنْزِلَةِ الْأَعْرَابِ يَجْرِي لَكُمْ مَا يَجْرِي لَهُمْ وَيَجْرِي عَلَيْكُمْ مَا يَجْرِي عَلَيْهِمْ فَإِنْ أَبَيْتُمْ وَأَقْرَرْتُمْ بِالْجِزْيَةَ فَلَكُمْ مَا لِأَهْلِ الْجِزْيَةِ فَعَرَضَ ذَلِكَ عَلَيْهِمْ ثَلَاثَةَ أَيَّامٍ ثُمَّ قَالَ لِأَصْحَابِهِ انْهَدُوا إِلَيْهِمْ فَفَتَحُوهُ
الترجمة الإنجليزية
'Abdullah ibn Abi Thumamah narrated to us, he said: 'Affan informed us, he said: Hammad informed us, from 'Ata' ibn al-Sa'ib, from Abu al-Bakhtari, that Salman besieged a fortress from among the fortresses of Qudayd and said to his companions: 'Let me do what I saw the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) do.' He praised Allah and extolled Him, then said: 'I am a man from among you, and Allah has blessed me with Islam. You have seen the obedience of the Arabs to me. If you believe and emigrate, you will be at our level. If you accept Islam and stay in your lands, you will be like the Bedouins - what applies to them applies to you, both for and against. If you refuse and agree to pay the jizyah, you will have the rights of the people of jizyah.' He presented this to them for three days, then said to his companions: 'Advance upon them!' And they conquered it.
