حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مُرَّةَ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ أَبِي الْعَاصِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ كَانَ آخِرُ مَا عَهِدَ إِلَيَّ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا أَمَمْتُ بِقَوْمٍ أَنْ أُخَفِّفَ بِهِمُ الصَّلَاةَ وَهَذَا الْحَدِيثُ قَدْ رُوِيَ عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ أَبِي الْعَاصِ مِنْ وُجُوهٍ وَأَعْلَاهَا إِسْنَادًا يُرْوَى فِي ذَلِكَ هَذَا الْإِسْنَادُ وَلَا نَعْلَمُ رَوَى سَعِيدُ بْنُ الْمُسَيِّبِ عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ أَبِي الْعَاصِ غَيْرَ هَذَا الْحَدِيثِ وَلَا رَوَاهُ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ إِلَّا عَمْرُو بْنُ مُرَّةَ وَلَا عَنْ عَمْرٍو إِلَّا شُعْبَةُ فَذَكَرْنَا هَذَا الْإِسْنَادَ عَنْ عُثْمَانَ دُونَ سَائِرِ الْأَسَانِيدِ الَّتِي تُرْوَى فِي ذَلِكَ عَنْهُ إِلَّا أَنَّ يَزِيدَ زَائِدٌ فَيُكْتَبُ مِنْ أَجْلِ الزِّيَادَةِ
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Muhammad ibn al-Muthanna narrated to us, he said: Muhammad ibn Ja'far informed us, he said: Shu'bah informed us, from 'Amr ibn Murrah, from Sa'id ibn al-Musayyib, from 'Uthman ibn Abi al-'As (may Allah be pleased with him) who said: The last thing the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) instructed me was that when I lead people in prayer, I should keep the prayer brief for them. This hadith has been narrated from 'Uthman ibn Abi al-'As through various routes, and the highest in chain among them is this chain. We do not know that Sa'id ibn al-Musayyib narrated from 'Uthman ibn Abi al-'As anything other than this hadith, and no one narrated it from Sa'id ibn al-Musayyib except 'Amr ibn Murrah, and no one narrated it from 'Amr except Shu'bah. We mentioned this chain from 'Uthman rather than the other chains narrated from him, except that Yazid has an addition which is recorded for the sake of that addition.
