وَأنبأ أَبُو الْحُسَيْنِ بْنُ الْفَضْلِ الْقَطَّانُ بِبَغْدَادَ أنبأ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ثنا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ ثنا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ وَأَبُو سَعِيدٍ وَصَفْوَانُ قَالُوا ثنا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ نَمِرٍ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ حَدَّثَنِي حَرْمَلَةُ مَوْلَى أُسَامَةَ بْنِ زَيْدٍ أَنَّهُ بَيْنَمَا هُوَ جَالِسٌ مَعَ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ دَخَلَ الْحَجَّاجُ بْنُ أَيْمَنَ ابْنِ أُمِّ أَيْمَنَ وَهُوَ رَجُلٌ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ وَكَانَ أَيْمَنُ أَخًا لِأُسَامَةَ بْنِ زَيْدٍ كَانَ أَكْبَرَ مِنْ أُسَامَةَ قَالَ حَرْمَلَةُ فَصَلَّى الْحَجَّاجُ صَلَاةً لَمْ يُتِمَّ رُكُوعَهُ وَلَا سُجُودَهُ فَدَعَاهُ ابْنُ عُمَرَ حِينَ سَلَّمَ فَقَالَ أَيِ ابْنَ أَخِي أَتَحْسِبُ أَنَّكَ قَدْ صَلَّيْتَ إِنَّكَ لَمْ تُصِلِّ فَعُدْ لِصَلَاتِكَ فَلَمَّا وَلَّى الْحَجَّاجُ قَالَ لِي عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ مَنْ هَذَا؟ قُلْتُ الْحَجَّاجُ بْنُ أَيْمَنَ ابْنِ أُمِّ أَيْمَنَ قَالَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ لَوْ رَأَى هَذَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لَأَحَبَّهُ فَذَكَرَ حُبَّهُ مَا وَلَدَتْ أُمُّ أَيْمَنَ وَكَانَتْ حَاضِنَةَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ ابْنُ عُمَرَ لَوْ رَأَى هَذَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لَأَحَبَّهُ فَذَكَرَ حُبَّهُ مَا وَلَدَتْ أُمُّ أَيْمَنَ وَكَانَتْ حَاضِنَةَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Abu al-Husayn ibn al-Fadl al-Qattan in Baghdad informed us... from Harmalah, the freed slave of Usamah ibn Zayd, that while he was sitting with Abdullah ibn Umar, al-Hajjaj ibn Ayman — the son of Umm Ayman, who was an Ansari man, and Ayman was the brother of Usamah ibn Zayd, being older than Usamah — entered. Harmalah said: Al-Hajjaj prayed a prayer without completing his bowing and prostration. Ibn Umar called him when he finished and said: O nephew, do you think you have prayed? You have not prayed. Go back to your prayer. When al-Hajjaj left, Abdullah ibn Umar said to me: Who is this? I said: Al-Hajjaj ibn Ayman, the son of Umm Ayman. Ibn Umar said: If the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) had seen this one, he would have loved him — and he mentioned his love for whatever Umm Ayman bore, as she was the nursemaid of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him).
