أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَلِيٍّ الرُّوذْبَارِيُّ أنبأ أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ دَاسَةَ ثنا أَبُو دَاوُدَ ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ قَالَ قَرَأْتُ عَلَى ابْنِ وَهْبٍ أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرٌو عَنْ بُكَيْرٍ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ عَفِيفَ بْنَ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ يَقُولُ حَدَّثَنِي رَجُلٌ مِنْ أَسَدِ بْنِ خُزَيْمَةَ أَنَّهُ سَأَلَ أَبَا أَيُّوبَ الْأَنْصَارِيَّ قَالَ يُصَلِّي أَحَدُنَا فِي مَنْزِلِهِ الصَّلَاةَ ثُمَّ يَأْتِي الْمَسْجِدَ وَتُقَامُ الصَّلَاةُ فَأُصَلِّي مَعَهُمْ فَأَجِدُ فِي نَفْسِي مِنْ ذَلِكَ شَيْئًا؟ فَقَالَ أَبُو أَيُّوبَ سَأَلْنَا عَنْ ذَلِكَ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَقَالَ ذَلِكَ لَهُ سَهْمُ جَمْعٍ

Abu Ali al-Rudhbari informed us, Abu Bakr ibn Dasah informed us, Abu Dawud narrated to us, Ahmad ibn Salih narrated to us. He said: I read to Ibn Wahb: Amr informed me from Bukayr that he heard Afif ibn Amr ibn al-Musayyab saying: A man from Asad ibn Khuzaymah narrated to me that he asked Abu Ayyub al-Ansari, saying: 'One of us prays at home, then comes to the mosque and the prayer is established. Should I pray with them? I feel uneasy about it.' Abu Ayyub said: 'We asked the Prophet (peace be upon him) about that, and he said: That earns him the reward of congregational prayer.'
