أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو مُحَمَّدٍ جَنَاحُ بْنُ نَذِيرِ بْنِ جَنَاحٍ الْمُحَارِبِيِّ بِالْكُوفَةِ أنبأ أَبُو جَعْفَرِ بْنُ دُحَيْمٍ ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ حَازِمٍ أنبأ أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ ثنا الْعُمَرِيُّ عَنْ سَالِمٍ أَبِي النَّضْرِ قَالَ جَاءَ رَجُلٌ إِلَى ابْنِ عُمَرَ فَسَلَّمَ عَلَيْهِ قَالَ مَنْ أَنْتَ؟ قَالَ أَنَا حَاضِنُكَ فُلَانٌ وَرَأَى بَيْنَ عَيْنَيْهِ سَجْدَةً سَوْدَاءَ فَقَالَ مَا هَذَا الْأَثَرُ بَيْنَ عَيْنَيْكَ فَقَدْ صَحِبْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ وَأَبَا بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرَ وَعُثْمَانَ ؓ فَهَلْ تَرَى هَاهُنَا مِنْ شَيْءٍ؟

Abu Muhammad Janah ibn Nadhir ibn Janah al-Muharibi informed us in Kufa, Abu Ja'far ibn Duhaym informed us, Ahmad ibn Hazim informed us, Abu Nu'aym informed us, al-Umari narrated to us from Salim Abu al-Nadr. He said: A man came to Ibn Umar and greeted him. He said: Who are you? He said: I am your nursemaid's son, so-and-so. And he saw between his eyes a black prostration mark. He said: What is this mark between your eyes? I have accompanied the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him), Abu Bakr, Umar, and Uthman (may Allah be pleased with them).
