أَخْبَرَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ عَبْدَانَ أنبأ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ ثنا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ ثنا حَجَّاجٌ وَسُلَيْمَانُ قَالَا ثنا يَزِيدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سِيرِينَ قَالَ أُنْبِئْتُ أَنَّ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ ؓ قَالَ احْتَجَمَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ وَأَجَرَهُ وَلَوْ رَأَى بِهِ بَأْسًا لَمْ يُعْطِهِ

Ali ibn Ahmad ibn Abdan informed us, Ahmad ibn Ubayd informed us, Isma'il ibn Ishaq narrated to us, Hajjaj and Sulayman narrated to us, they said: Yazid ibn Ibrahim narrated to us, Muhammad ibn Sirin narrated to us saying: "I was informed that Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) said: 'The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) had himself cupped and paid him his wages. Had he seen any harm in it, he would not have given it to him.'"
