أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ أنبأ أَبُو الْفَضْلِ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ثنا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ أنبأ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ ثنا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ عَنْ أَبِي الزَّاهِرِيَّةِ عَنْ جُبَيْرِ بْنِ نُفَيْرٍ عَنْ ثَوْبَانَ مَوْلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ ذَبَحَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أُضْحِيَّتَهُ فَقَالَ يَا ثَوْبَانُ هَيِّئْ لَنَا هَذِهِ الشَّاةَ وَأَصْلِحْهَا قَالَ فَمَا زِلْتُ أُطْعِمُهُ مِنْهَا حَتَّى قَدِمْنَا الْمَدِينَةَ

Abu Abdullah al-Hafiz informed us, Abu al-Fadl ibn Ibrahim informed us, Ahmad ibn Salamah narrated to us, Ishaq ibn Ibrahim informed us, Abd al-Rahman ibn Mahdi narrated to us, Mu'awiyah ibn Salih narrated to us from Abu al-Zahiriyyah from Jubayr ibn Nufayr from Thawban, the freedman of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) slaughtered his sacrifice and said: "O Thawban, prepare this sheep for us and make it ready." He said: I kept feeding him from it until we arrived in Madinah.
