أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو نَصْرٍ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سَهْلٍ الْفَقِيهُ بِبُخَارَى أنبا صَالِحُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْحَافِظُ ثنا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ أَبُو مَعْمَرٍ الْهُذَلِيُّ ثنا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ عَنْ أَيُّوبَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِيرِينَ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ؓ قَالَ صَبَّحَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ خَيْبَرَ بُكْرَةً وَقَدْ خَرَجُوا بِالْمَسَاحِي فَلَمَّا نَظَرُوا إِلَى ر��سُولِ اللهِ ﷺ جَاءُوا يَسْعَوْنَ إِلَى الْحِصْنِ وَقَالُوا مُحَمَّدٌ وَالْخَمِيسُ فَرَفَعَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَدَيْهِ ثُمَّ قَالَ اللهُ أَكْبَرُ اللهُ أَكْبَرُ ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍ خَرِبَتْ خَيْبَرُ إِنَّا إِذَا نَزَلْنَا بِسَاحَةِ قَوْمٍ فَسَاءَ صَبَاحُ الْمُنْذَرِينَ

Abu Abdullah al-Hafiz informed us, from Abu Nasr Ahmad ibn Sahl al-Faqih in Bukhara, from Salih ibn Muhammad al-Hafiz, from Isma'il ibn Ibrahim Abu Ma'mar al-Hudhali, from Sufyan ibn Uyaynah, from Ayyub, from Muhammad ibn Sirin, from Anas ibn Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) attacked Khaybar at dawn. The people had come out with their spades. When they saw the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him), they rushed back to the fortress, saying: Muhammad and the army! The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) raised his hands and said three times: Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar! Khaybar is destroyed. When we camp in the courtyard of a people, evil is the morning for those who were warned.
