أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ وَأَبُو سَعِيدِ بْنُ أَبِي عَمْرٍو قَالَا ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ مَرْزُوقٍ ثنا وَهْبُ بْنُ جَرِيرٍ عَنْ هِشَامٍ الدَّسْتُوَائِيِّ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ أَنَّهُ قَالَ فِي هَذِهِ الْآيَةِ {وَإِذَا حَضَرَ الْقِسْمَةَ أُولُو الْقُرْبَى وَالْيَتَامَى وَالْمَسَاكِينُ فَارْزُقُوهُمْ مِنْهُ} قَالَ نَسَخَتْهَا الْفَرَائِضُ وَكَذَلِكَ قَالَهُ عَطَاءٌ وَعِكْرِمَةُ وَالضَّحَّاكُ بْنُ مُزَاحِمٍ

Abu Abdullah al-Hafiz and Abu Sa'id ibn Abi Amr informed us with their chain from Qatadah from Sa'id ibn al-Musayyib who said regarding this verse: 'And when those who are present at the distribution, relatives and orphans and the needy, provide for them from it' (Quran 4:8) - It was abrogated by the inheritance shares. Ata, Ikrimah, and al-Dahhak ibn Muzahim said the same.
