أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ ثنا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ عَفَّانَ ثنا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ ثنا سُفْيَانُ ح وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْأَرْدَسْتَانِيُّ ثنا أَبُو نَصْرٍ الْعِرَاقِيُّ ثنا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْجَوْهَرِيُّ ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ ثنا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يَحْيَى بْنِ حَبَّانَ عَنْ وَاسِعِ بْنِ حَبَّانَ أَنَّ ثَابِتَ بْنَ الدَّحْدَاحِ كَانَ رَجُلًا أَتِيًّا فِي بَنِي أُنَيْفٍ أَوْ فِي بَنِي الْعَجْلَانِ مَاتَ فَسَأَلَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ هَلْ لَهُ وَارِثٌ؟ فَلَمْ يَجِدُوا لَهُ وَارِثًا فَدَفَعَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ مِيرَاثَهُ إِلَى ابْنِ أُخْتِهِ وَهُوَ أَبُو لُبَابَةَ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمُنْذِرِ لَفْظُ حَدِيثِ الْأَرْدَسْتَانِيِّ وَحَدِيثُ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ مُخْتَصَرًا لَمْ يُسَمِّ الْوَارِثَ وَالْمُوَرَّثَ وَهُوَ مُنْقَطِعٌ 12217 وَرُوِيَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ يَعْقُوبَ بْنِ عُتْبَةَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يَحْيَى بْنِ حَبَّانَ عَنْ عَمِّهِ وَاسِعِ بْنِ حَبَّانَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّهُ سَأَلَ عَاصِمَ بْنَ عَدِيٍّ الْأَنْصَارِيَّ عَنْ ثَابِتِ بْنِ الدَّحْدَاحِ وَتُوُفِّيَ هَلْ تَعْلَمُونَ لَهُ نَسَبًا فِيكُمْ؟ فَقَالَ لَا وَإِنَّمَا هُوَ أَتِيٌّ فِينَا قَالَ فَقَضَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ بِمِيرَاثِهِ لِابْنِ أُخْتِهِ أَخْبَرَنَاهُ أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ السُّلَمِيُّ أنا أَبُو الْحَسَنِ الْكَارِزِيُّ ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ عَنْ أَبِي عُبَيْدٍ ثنا عَبَّادُ بْنُ عَبَّادٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ يَعْقُوبَ بْنِ عُتْبَةَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يَحْيَى بْنِ حَبَّانَ عَنْ عَمِّهِ وَاسِعِ بْنِ حَبَّانَ رَفَعَهُ وَهَذَا أَيْضًا مُنْقَطِعٌ وَقَدْ أَجَابَ عَنْهُ الشَّافِعِيُّ فِي الْقَدِيمِ فَقَالَ ثَابِتُ بْنُ الدَّحْدَاحَةِ قُتِلَ يَوْمَ أُحُدٍ قَبْلَ أَنْ تَنْزِلَ الْفَرَائِضُ قَالَ الشَّيْخُ قَتْلُهُ فِي يَوْمِ أُحُدٍ فِي رِوَايَةِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ

Abu Abdullah al-Hafiz informed us: Abu al-Abbas Muhammad ibn Ya'qub narrated to us: al-Hasan ibn Ali ibn Affan narrated to us: Mu'awiyah ibn Hisham narrated to us: Sufyan narrated. And Abu Bakr Muhammad ibn Ibrahim al-Ardastani informed us: Abu Nasr al-Iraqi narrated to us: Sufyan ibn Muhammad al-Jawhari narrated to us: Ali ibn al-Hasan narrated to us: Abdullah ibn al-Walid narrated to us: Sufyan narrated from Muhammad ibn Ishaq from Muhammad ibn Yahya ibn Habban from Wasi' ibn Habban: Thabit ibn al-Dahdah was a man who had settled among Banu Unayf or Banu al-Ajlan. He died, so the Prophet (peace be upon him) asked if he had any heir. They found no heir for him, so the Prophet (peace be upon him) gave his inheritance to the son of his sister, who was Abu Lubabah ibn Abd al-Mundhir. This is the wording of al-Ardastani's narration, while Abu Abdullah's narration is abridged without naming the heir or the deceased. It is also disconnected. It was also narrated from Muhammad ibn Ishaq from Ya'qub ibn Utbah from Muhammad ibn Yahya ibn Habban from his uncle Wasi' ibn Habban from the Prophet (peace be upon him) that he asked 'Asim ibn Adiy al-Ansari about Thabit ibn al-Dahdah who had died: Do you know of any lineage for him among you? He said: No, he was only a settler among us. So the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) gave his inheritance to the son of his sister. This is also disconnected. Al-Shafi'i answered regarding it in his old work saying: Thabit ibn al-Dahdahah was killed on the day of Uhud before the verses of inheritance were revealed. The Shaykh said: His killing at Uhud is in the narration of al-Zuhri from Sa'id ibn al-Musayyib.
