حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي حَبِيبٌ عَنْ عُمَارَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ الْمُطَوِّسِ فَلَقِيتُ ابْنَ الْمُطَوِّسِ فَحَدَّثَنِي عَنِ أَبِيهِ عَنِ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ مَنْ أَفْطَرَ يَوْمًا مِنْ رَمَضَانَ مِنْ غَيْرِ رُخْصَةٍ رَخَّصَهَا اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ لَمْ يَقْضِ عَنْهُ صِيَامُ الدَّهْرِ وَإِنْ صَامَهُ.

Yahya ibn Sa'id narrated to us, from Sufyan, who said: Habib narrated to me, from 'Umarah, from Ibn al-Mutawwis — then I met Ibn al-Mutawwis, and he narrated to me from his father, from Abu Hurayrah, from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), who said: 'Whoever breaks his fast for one day during Ramadan without a concession that Allah, Mighty and Majestic, has granted, the fasting of a lifetime will not make up for it, even if he fasts it [in full].'
