حَدَّثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ حَدَّثَنَا الْأَوْزَاعِيُّ حَدَّثَنِي حَسَّانُ بْنُ عَطِيَّةَ حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي عَائِشَةَ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ يَقُولُ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا فَرَغَ أَحَدُكُمْ مِنْ التَّشَهُّدِ الْآخِرِ فَلْيَتَعَوَّذْ مِنْ أَرْبَعٍ مِنْ عَذَابِ جَهَنَّمَ وَمِنْ عَذَابِ الْقَبْرِ وَمِنْ فِتْنَةِ الْمَحْيَا وَالْمَمَاتِ وَمِنْ شَرِّ الْمَسِيحِ الدَّجَّالِ.

Al-Walid ibn Muslim Abu al-Abbas told us, al-Awza'i told us, Hassan ibn Atiyyah told me, Muhammad ibn Abi Aishah told me, that he heard Abu Hurayrah say: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "When one of you finishes the final tashahhud, let him seek refuge from four things: from the punishment of Hell, from the punishment of the grave, from the trial of life and death, and from the evil of the false messiah, the Antichrist."
